Wildcats can make some noise at NCAAs

Kansas State may still get one more chance against the Kansas Jayhawks before the seaosn is over.

The Wildcats earned a No. 2 seed and has a favorable bracket that could see the Wildcats all the way to the Final Four.

K-State will get to play at Okalhoma City, which means there should be a number of Wildcat fans in the stands to root on K-State.

The Wildcats open with North Texas, which should be a lay-up for the talented Big 12 runners-up.

Beyond that, K-State will be looking at either Florida or Brigham Young. A couple of years ago, Florida would have been a mountain for the ’Cats, but this year K-State is the team with the whole package, and the Wildcats should advance.

The toughest challenger in the next round would be Pittsburgh, and the Wildcats should clear that hurdle as well.

The toughest challenge comes in the Elite Eight when the Wildcats more than likely face the Orange, because there is no one in the first tow rounds that can beat Syracuse in their bracket.

Should the Cats peel the Orange, and the Jayhawks can survive a brutal path to the Final Four, Kansas and Kansas State could be playing for a trip to the national championship game by April 3.
