A Louisiana man was injured in an accident Monday morning in northern Seward County.

A report from the Kansas Highway Patrol said around 7:50 a.m., William A. Anderson, 59, of Minden, La., was driving a 2009 Peterbilt semi truck northbound on U.S. Highway 83 near the junction of Kansas Highway 190 about 24 miles north of Liberal.

A second vehicle, a 2005 Peterbilt semi truck, driven by Bryan E. Bogart, 41, of Copeland was also northbound, when Anderson turned on his right turn signal and went into the right lane.

The KHP reported Anderson attempted to make a left turn and hit Bogart’s vehicle on the right side.

Bogart was not injured in the accident, but Anderson was taken to Southwest Medical Center with injuries. Safety restraints were equipped and in use in both vehicles.
