HUGOTON – Kevin Joseph Seaman, 60, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2010, at MDAnderson Cancer Center in Houston.
He was born Sept. 3, 1949, to AZ and Margaret (Corcoran) Seaman in Wichita.
He married Judy Sinnett May 22, 1971, in St. Patrick’s Church in Kingman. She survives.
He graduated from Emporia State University and earned his masters in 1977.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, NEA, KNEA and Liberal Teachers Association.
He enjoyed golfing, teaching seventh grade English, traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Other survivors include one son, Christopher Seaman and wife, Michelle, Choctaw, Okla.; one daughter, Robyn Medina and husband, Jathan, Hugoton; three grandchildren, Taryn Rose and Cameron and Carson Medina; and other cousins and friends.
o A vigil rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton with Father Pascal Klein and Father Brandon Farrar presiding.
Burial will be at the Hugoton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Paul’s Funeral Home or the family home in Hugoton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Kevin Seaman Memorial Scholarship and may be mailed to Paul’s Funeral Home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
